A Letter from the Constitution & Bylaws Reform Panel

15 August, 2018

To all Bethel Daughters and Council,
We are beginning a new step in our review of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Supreme Guardian Council, and we need your assistance. The Constitution & Bylaw Reform Panel (CBRP) is needing ideas from you about how we can make the laws that govern our Order fit the needs of today’s young women.

We know change cannot happen overnight, so we have divided up the C&B into sections for all of us to review each year. For 2018-2019, we are wanting your input on Bethel and Bethel Guardian Council Constitution and Bylaws. The ideas we receive will be submitted to the Supreme Guardian Council as amendments for Supreme Session 2019. The coming years the CBRP will be looking to hear from you on SGC and GGC/JGC reform as well.

What does this mean? It means we want to hear your thoughts on what laws might need updating. While we review them, it is important we remember the Landmarks, which make up the foundation of our Organization.

So tell us! We want to hear from each and everyone of you. In the coming weeks, your
Regional Liaison will be reaching out to your jurisdictions to begin hearing your ideas. We hope you are as excited as we are about this next step, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Fraternally,
